Stay on top of your legal game and in the loop on any legislative changes by attending the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act/Fair Housing Review Tuesday, April 14, presented by Tidewater Builders Association’s  Tidewater Multifamily Housing Council.

John G. "Chip" Dicks III of FutureLaw L.L.C. brings his vast knowledge of the topic to this all-day discussion of landlord and tenant rights and responsibilities, plus a review of fair housing law.  The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Founders Inn, 5641 Indian River Road in Virginia Beach.

Dicks has extensive expertise in the field of landlord/tenant and fair housing laws. Anyone involved in property management – from owners and leasing agents to maintenance superintendents and office staff – will benefit from this full-day, comprehensive program.

 

Dicks will cover current issues on the fair housing front, such as the hot regulatory issues, accessibility, etc. Each participant will take home a 340-page bound handbook that includes recent General Assembly updates, as well as a current copy of the Virginia  Residential Landlord/Tenant Act, the Fair Housing Act and the Service Members Civil Relief Act. The seminar is certified by the Virginia Real Estate Board for continuing education credit and participants also will earn 25 Registered in Apartment Management (RAM) credits.

 

The seminar costs $95 for Tidewater Multifamily Housing Council members and $135 for nonmembers, and includes a continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon refreshments.
