The Tidewater Multifamily Housing Council meets the needs of its more than 110 member firms through a variety of programs, focusing on such topics as marketing/leasing techniques, maintenance strategies, landlord tenant and fair housing laws. The council also offers awards and certification programs.

Membership dues are $180 for associate members and $1 per rental unit for owner/manager members (with a minimum fee of $180 and a maximum of $2,830). Dues also include membership in the National Association of Home Builders Multifamily Council.

TMHC recognizes excellence
The annual TMHC Associates Showcase and Awards Banquet gives associate members a unique opportunity to publicize their business in a trade show atmosphere. The showcase is followed by a banquet, where industry leaders and award winners are recognized.

An Award of Excellence competition for apartment communities and a Merit Award program for property managers, resident managers, associate members and maintenance supervisors are also coordinated each year. Winners are recognized at the annual awards banquet.
