Criteria / Application
Applications for college scholarships are being accepted through Friday, March 21, 2008, either postmarked or hand delivered, to the TBA office located at 2117 Smith Avenue in Chesapeake (23320). Office hours are Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- You must be a local high school senior residing in the TBA service area of: Chesapeake, Eastern Shore of Virginia, Franklin, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Smithfield, Suffolk, or Virginia Beach.
- You must be a U.S. citizen
- You must attend and pursue an accredited four-year undergraduate degree program as a full-time student during your four-year period of continual, uninterrupted studies - (not including summer semesters)
- You must demonstrate financial need
- You must be in good standing academically
A scholarship committee will review applications and recipients notified by early May.
