Steven E. Lawson,
President
Steven E. Lawson is president of The Lawson Cos., Virginia Beach, a developer of single- and multifamily housing communities. Lawson joined TBA in 1993 and was named to the TBA board of directors in 2007. He has served as a member of NAHB's Housing Finance Committee and Mortgage Roundtable. He has also served as chairman of the NAHB Housing Credit Group, the NAHB Multifamily Finance Subcommittee, and the NAHB Affordable Housing Subcommittee. The Virginia Beach resident earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering and an MBA from Duke University. |

Dennis M. Graf,
Vice President
Dennis M. Graf is president of Graf Construction. Graf has been a member of the TBA board since 2002. He built in the 1999, 2000 and 2002 Homearamas and also built the 2001 Homearama Charity House. Graf served six consecutive terms as co-chair of the Charity Golf Tournament Committee and has served as chair since 2009. The Chesapeake resident earned his mechanical engineering degree from Virginia Tech.

William "Toby" Harris ,
Associate Vice President
Toby Harris, president of Movement Mortgage, is serving as associate vice president. He has been a TBA member for many years and has been very involved with TBA's membership committee serving as vice chair in 2012. He also served as an NAHB director in 2012. Harris received the TBA Extra Mile Award at this year's installation ceremony for his support of TBA and its Homearama awards program.

Eric J. Sasser,
Treasurer
Eric Sasser is president of Sasser Construction. This is the first board term for Sasser, who served as the Homearama chairman in 2010. Sasser has built in three Homearamas, including building the Spring Homearama Charity House in 2010. In addition to being a Southern Living Custom Home Program builder, Sasser is also the Southern Living 2010 Custom Builder of the Year, a certified green professional and graduate of the Builder Institute. |

I. Reese Smith Jr.,
Secretary
I. Reese Smith Jr., owner of Reese Smith Construction and co-owner of Builder Solutions, is serving as secretary. He has been a TBA member since 2001 and was appointed to the board in 2007. He has been co-chair of the association's Suffolk Municipal Affairs Committee and chair of the TBA Scholarship Selection Committee. A graduate of George Mason University, with an MBA from Old Dominion University, Smith curently sits on the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act Board. |

Samuel L. "Sam" Cohen ,
President
Samuel L. "Sam" Cohen is the owner of Joey Corp., a custom homebuilding business in Chesapeake. He has been a member of TBA since 1990 and first joined the TBA board in 1999 as an elected builder director. He has since served in various leadership positions, including TBA executive committee appointee in 2007 and 2008, treasurer in 2009, vice president in 2010 and 2011, and president in 2012.
Cohen has built in the TBA Homearama showcase of homes since 1997, served as chair of the Homearama Committee in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009 and 2011, and built the 2000 Charity House. He also helped build the 2005 TBA Scholarship House to benefit the TBA Scholarship Foundation. |

Channing A. Pfeiffer
Chief executive officer/Executive vice president
Pfeiffer serves as chief executive officer of TBA, a position he has held since 1986.
He has been with TBA since 1981. Prior to joining TBA in 1981, he served as director of the National Association of Home Builders’ Multi-Housing Division and as national coordinator for the National Association of Home Builders’ apprenticeship training programs.
He has his master’s degree in management from the University of Virginia and a bachelor of arts degree from Randolph-Macon College. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the Home Builders Association of Virginia Executive Officers Council, and serves as regional director of the National Association of Home Builders Executive Officers Council.
He is a past board member and volunteer of the year of the Hampton Roads YMCA and was vice chairman of the Tidewater Boys Scout Council. |
