Kids get a chance to join in on the fun at the Mid-Atlantic Home & Flower Show
There will be plenty for the kids to enjoy at the Mid-Atlantic Home & Flower Show, presented by Certified Angus Beef and set for Feb. 15-17 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. This event will feature products and services for the entire home and garden, as well as a fun-filled weekend of activities for children, coordinated by the Virginia Horticultural Foundation. Children under 12 will be admitted for free.
Bring the kids out and get them involved in some fun and educational gardening activities led by educators from the Norfolk Botanical Gardens from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16 and Sunday, Feb. 17.
The Virginia Master Gardeners will also be on hand with kid-friendly gardening tips from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16 and Sunday, Feb. 17.
Magic will be in the air as local magician Lance Smith amazes audiences with his crowd-pleasing repertoire of magic tricks and illusions. Be sure to catch his fun and exciting shows at 11 a.m., 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16 and Sunday, Feb. 17.
There will be a variety of hands-on crafts and interactive learning activities that will keep the kids busy throughout the weekend facilitated by representatives from some of this area's most popular family venues: the Children's Museum of Virginia from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17; Nauticus from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17 and the Virginia Air & Space Museum from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17.
