The 2009 Internatioinal Residential Building Code has been in effect since March 1, 2012.  Do you have questions or concerns about its requirements or enforcement?

If so, the regional code officials will be on hand to answer questions, address concerns and share information at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 21 at the TBA office in Chesapeake.

Sponsored by Dominion Virginia Power, the forum is free and open to all members.  A light breakfast will be served.

Bankers offer their perspective on builder financing in 2013

The market's starting to improve and there's optimism in the air ... Are you positioned to get the financing you need for your next building project? Join us for a panel discussion by local banking professionals sharing their insight on equity requirements, AD loan approval, repayment terms, financial red flags and more.  Particpating in the conversation will be Tom Dillon of StellarOne; Mark Smith of BB&T; Jim Ferber of Monarch Bank and Laurie Arcand of TowneBank.  Grig Scifres, TBA's general counsel, will serve as moderator.

The breakfast forum will be held at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17 at the TBA office, 2117 Smith Ave., Chesapeake.  The event is free and open to all members.  A light breakfast will be served, compliments of TowneBank Mortgage, the event sponsor.
